چکیده

We report the values of R = d ln(Vs)/d ln(Vp) due to water as a function of pressure for Mg2SiO4 olivine, wadsleyite, ringwoodite. The results show that ringwoodite has significantly lower R than olivine and wadsleyite; due to the reason that bulk modulus of ringwoodite is more sensitive to water than shear modulus. R of ringwoodite decreases with pressure while R of olivine and wadsleyite increases with pressure. R reported here was calculated using theoretical method derived equation of states. R due to temperature is also reported as a comparison of R due to water. The local value of R in the upper mantle and transition zone can discriminate between lateral variations of water content and temperature as the origin of lateral seismic variations. Prevalence of Lymph Node Metastasis in Radical Prostatectomy; A Retrospective and Multicenter Study in Iran

Lymph node (LN) metastasis is considered an important prognostic factor in patients with prostate cancer. The aim of this study was to determine the rate of LN metastasis among an Iranian population who underwent radical prostatectomy (RP) with pelvic LN dissection (PLND). In a retrospective review of medical records, 450 RP cases were included and the data on LN metastasis were extracted from ...

tructure and elasticity of hydrous ringwoodite : A first principle investigation

First principle calculations were performed to investigate structural, IR, and elastic properties of hydrous ringwoodite and their evolution with pressure up to 36 GPa. Hydrogen defects are introduced by creating Mgor Si-vacancies Mg1.875H0.25SiO4, Mg1.75H0.5SiO4 and Mg2Si0.875H0.5O4. Energy considerations imply that the Mg-vacancy coupled substitution will be the easiest to form, but, in the E...

Characteristics of lateral heterogeneities with thermal and chemical origins in the pyrolitic lower mantle

The relative changes between shear and compressional velocities (RSP = o ln VS/o ln VP), bulk sound and shear velocities (RCS = o ln VC/o ln VS), and density versus shear wave velocity (RqS = o ln q/o ln VS) in response to thermal and chemical variations were investigated for the pyrolitic lower mantle. For heterogeneities with thermal origins, RSP increases from 1.7 to 2.0 together with RqS de...

Effect of water on the sound velocities of ringwoodite in the transition zone

High-pressure elasticity studies will play a central role in efforts to constrain the potential hydration state of the Earth's mantle from seismic observations. Here we report the effects of 1 wt% H2O (as structurally bound OH) on the sound velocities and elastic moduli of singlecrystal ringwoodite of Fo90 composition, thought to be the dominant phase in the deeper part of the transition zone b...

Introduction: The role of ovarian hormones and nitric oxide (NO) in learning and memory and their interaction has been widely investigated. The present study carried out to evaluate different effect of L-NAME on spatial learning and memory of ovariectomized (OVX) and sham operated rats. Methods: 32 rats were divided into 4 groups: 1) Sham 2) OVX 3) Sham-LN and 4) OVX-LN. The animals of groups 3...
